NYE Countdown.

Al Wasl will play host to 190 nations coming together to celebrate and embrace the coming of the 2022 new year.

Working with Artists In Motion as the concept designer, my brief was to create an international flavour for the event and include a global-themed countdown on each hour leading to midnight. 

The following frames were initial ideas only, exploring the visual concept of a heatmap of the globe celebrating as each hour passes. An awakening of colour and vibrancy to envelope the earth with a connection between the time zones back to Al Wasl.
